PSU Solar Thermal System
In Fall 2009, the Appalachian State Renewable Energy Initiative funded the installation of a 47,425 BTU/hour domestic hot water solar thermal system using 3, 400-gallon water tanks connected to 42 flat plate collectors and 9 heat exchangers. This project is estimated to save between $11,000 to $14,000 annually.
